Sometimes they barely notice you. Such was the case of a yellow-faced bumble bee, Bombus vosnesenskii, spotted on our Mexican sunflower (Tithonia). If a picture is worth a thousand words, what is a bee worth? Priceless.

Got "red" aphids?

Since last week, I have been receiving samples with red aphids to get the identification. It turned out that this time, most of these reddish' aphids were identified as the lettuce aphid, Nasonovia ribis-nigri (Fig. 1).
