You may see leafhoppers in your garden or landscape this time of year as they hop about feeding on a variety of plants. You can distinguish these small, wedge-shaped insects from other pests by their tendency to quickly jump or crawl rapidly sideways when disturbed.
I hope everyone had a good long weekend. Email traffic seemed light on Friday so I suspect some were able to get a head start. I had big plans to make the most of what many consider the last weekend of summer. In addition to summer things', I planned to spend some time on a creative hobby.

CORRECTION: I stated that you could soil apply Solubor at 50 lbs/acre, when I should have stated Borax, which is approximately 10.5% boron (Solubor is 20%), and added the pounds of actual boron/acre.
