Test PB Collection: FTE

Ella Mae Noffsinger, 84, who retired in 1991 as the senior museum scientist in charge of the UC Davis Nematode Collection, passed away March 22, 2018 in Woodland. She was a longtime resident of Palm Gardens Assisted Living, Woodland.

Mark, Glenda and I attended the Western Extension and Experiment Station administrator meetings this week. The meetings were in San Diego.

The University of California, Davis, is the place to "bee" on Saturday, April 7. There's a plant sale at the UC Davis Arboretum Nursery on Garrod Drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and there's an open house and plant sale at the Hagen-Dazs Honey Bee Haven from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Bee Biology Road.

Hanford Parks & Recreation Spring Camp joined UCCE to educate children on the importance of eating from MyPlate! Students learned about the important nutrients they get from each food group as well as identifying healthy foods.

VP Glenda Humiston moderated the closing plenary panel on March 23 at the California Water Policy Conference held at the UC Davis Conference Center. The panel discussed the Future of Agriculture in California.

VP Glenda Humiston, AVP Wendy Powers and several UC ANR representatives visited more than 30 congressional offices in March to brief lawmakers and staffers on the latest agriculture and natural resources research and outreach benefiting Californians.

Glenn County Fair Heritage Foundation held their annual Friends of the Fair Fundraiser Dinner on Friday, March 23, 2018. The Glenn County 4-H assisted with the serving, cleaning and the auction. 4-H had over 27 youth and adult volunteers assist at this event.
