This is the twice-a-year meeting of the Central Coast Rangeland Coalition. The goal of this meeting is to improve economic security for livestock operators on the Central Coast by preventing livestock-carnivore conflict and providing potential resources when they do occur.

Various soilborne, fruit and foliar diseases can affect strawberry crop and fruit yields. Chemical fumigants and a variety of fungicides are typically used for managing the disease issues.

In the fall of 2015 and 2916, growers in the desert regions reported excessive fruit drop. Particularly in the Coachella Valley, Imperial County, and in Yuma, Arizona. The cause of the fruit drop is unknown.

Have you ever seen a bee buzzing around your garden and wondered: "What's that bee?" Or have you ever seen a bee nectaring in a community garden and wondered "How can I attract THAT bee to my yard?" Just like all floral visitors are not bees, not all bees are honey bees.

When we talk about weeds, we often use the definition of "a plant out of place". While that's a bit human-centric for some folks, it does provide an introduction for me to share some of my favorite plants-out-of-place photos.
