Projects

What is a 4-H project?

Two youth working on circuits together.
Youth work together in projects, many times mentored by older youth.

A 4-H project is a hands-on way for you to find your "spark" - something that you enjoy doing and that interests you. You must sign up for a project when you enroll.

Projects are led by a Project Leader. You may also have a Teen Leader leading some of the lessons.

What projects can I do?

YOU choose the project that interests you! This is a great way to try new things! For new 4-H'ers, we recommend signing up for Beginning 4-H, where you learn about the different opportunities in 4-H and try a lesson in different kinds of project.

Projects can start at different times of the year and vary by county. We recommend you stay informed of new projects and events by attending your club meetings and reading the newsletters sent out by your club, county and the state.

Healthy Living projects include learning about nutrition and cooking.
