Chi Council for the Clear Lake Hitch- Local resource management and planning group that works to promote restoration efforts for the Clear Lake Hitch.

Clear Lake Environmental Research Center- Studies the unique properties of Clear Lake, coordinate programs, and educate the community about Clear Lake.

Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake- A federally recognized tribal group that works to preserve natural resources and Pomo culture.

Lake County Department of Environmental Health- Mercury accumulation in Fish, Blue-Green Algae, Press Releases.

Lake County Department of Water Resources- Watershed Protection and Lakebed Management Districts.

Lake County Farm Bureau- Works to provide education, outreach, and support to local Farmers and Ranchers on all topics of the area.

Lake County Land Trust- Nonprofit 501 (c) (3) that works to protect valuable natural resources, such as Rodman Preserve.

Lake County Vector Control District- Provides surveillance for ticks, mosquitoes, gnats, and other vectors in Lake County. Practices (IVM) Integrated Vector Management strategies and provides public education about vector-borne diseases.

Robinson Rancheria Environmental Center- Practices environmental planning, hitch monitoring, water quality sampling, wetland development, and native plant nursery programs. Environmental Center staff contact information and links to other federal agencies.

University of California Cooperative Extension, Lake County- Provides advice and education to the local community as part of a statewide extension system. Holds workshops and seminars on various topics. Programs include 4-H Youth Development, Forestry, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), Freshwater Ecology, Viticulture, Livestock/Range Management, Master Gardener Program, and more.

Regional:

California Sea Grant Extension Program- Aquatic invasive species eradication and control information. Focus on Quagga/Zebra Mussel control and eco-system management strategies. Conservation and education for California's coastal and aquatic resources.

Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board- Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) and Surface Water Ambient Monitoring Program (SWAMP) information. Permitting procedures, policies, data trends, and regulations surrounding Region 5, including the Clear Lake watershed.

State/Federal:

Bureau of Land Management, Ukiah Field Office- Sustaining health, diversity, and productivity of public lands. Information about land-use planning for Cow Mountain Recreation Area and Cache Creek Natural Area. 

California Department of Water Resources- Manages and protects California's water. 

California Department of Fish and Wildlife- Formerly California Department of Fish and Game. Maintains native fish, wildlife, plant species and natural communities for their intrinsic and ecological value and their benefits to people.

California Fish and Game Scientific Journal- The official, quarterly, scientific journal for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Articles are geared towards the conservation of CA Flora and Fauna and are available to the reader at no charge.

Natural Resources Conservation Service- California- Various programs to assist farmers and landowners in California. Information regarding the Farm Bill, Easements, and Landscape Planning can be found online.

State Water Resources Control Board- Protects water quality. Laws, regulations, policies, and programs related to California's water.

United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)- Protects human health and the environment. The Clean Lakes Program provides information about lake assessments and summaries under section 314 of the Clean Water Act.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service- Conserves the nature of America. Endangered species information, wildlife refuges, document library, permits, and grants.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Aquatic and Invasive Species (AIS) Program- The AIS Program provides funding for Aquatic Invasive Species Coordinators for each Region within the Service and their respective aquatic nuisance species activities.

U.S. Forest Service- Pacific Southwest Region 5 of the USDA Forest Service.

U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)- Collects, monitors, analyzes, and provides scientific understanding about natural resource conditions, issues, and problems.  The Nonindigenous Aquatic Species (NAS) information resource might be of interest to those concerned with Clear Lake aquatic invasives, both vertebrates and invertebrates.
