HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Peach Leaf Curl_Karey Windbiel-Rojas
TIME TO TREAT YOUR PEACH TREES Late fall and winter is the prime time for managing peach leaf curl, which affects both peach and nectarine trees. Peach leaf curl is a fungal disease that causes distorted, reddened leaves to appear on the tree in the spring. To effectively control peach leaf curl, spray an appropriate fungicide in the fall or winter, after leaf drop but before flower buds swell in the spring.

PREVENT RODENTS FROM OVERWINTERING IN YOUR HOME!
Most people don't think about rats or mice until they become pests in or around the home. But with experts predicting that these pests will be particularly bad this upcoming winter, you might want to spend some more time rodent-proofing your home.

TRIMMING AND PRUNING
Prune and deadhead fall flowering shrubs and trees. Wait to prune spring flowering plants, as these will produce flowers on last season’s growth. Tree branches can be thinned as needed to prevent storm damage. When you’ve finished pruning, clean and sharpen your tools.
