Also, new training classes begin as Fall Home Gardening Classes come to a close and the Desert Garden Community Day is reviewed. Janet Hartin writes about proper tree care, Rosa Olaiz presents MG news, and selected queries from the Desert Helpline are highlighted. 

The cover story is about the remote Desert Help Line. A series honoring blue badge members is initiated.
