For Teachers

Whether you have visited us previously or are planning your first visit, the following information is provided to help you prepare for your field trip to Elkus Ranch.

  • Provide a signed waiver for all field trip attendees including teachers, aides, paraprofessionals, students, and chaperones. Families can be included on a single waiver. Attendees without a signed waiver cannot participate in the Field Trip. Waivers can be found here:

  • There is no charge for teachers, aides, or paraprofessionals.
  • For Field Trips, we encourage no more than three chaperones per class at Kindergarten and higher.   We charge for chaperones after the first three. (Teachers, paraprofessionals, and aides do not count as chaperones.)
  • For Lunch at the Ranch, we request one chaperone for every six students.
  • Leave siblings at home please - We appreciate that visiting Elkus Ranch is a treat, but we ask only children from your class join the field trip.

Please reach out if any of these requests are going to be a hardship.

Information to pass along to Parents/Guardians:

Please print the waiver and write in your school’s name, city, and date of your scheduled field trip to the top of the page.

Please copy the parent/guardian letter on the back-side of the waiver to provide families with important information about clothing, food and chaperone duties for the visit.

You will need to distribute and then collect these signed waivers to give to our educators on the day of your field trip.
