Zinc Studies with Seedlings
Using Nemaguard seedlings growing in sand, we conducted a series of experiments comparing different zinc formulations. The seedlings were grown with a nutrient solution containing no zinc until deficiency symptoms were observed. Foliar applications of zinc products then restored normal growth, some better than others. From these experiments we concluded that zinc sulfate (36% Zn) is one of the most effective materials, and certainly the most cost effective.
