Trained UC Master Gardener volunteers empower Nevada County residents with practical skills to grow food, care for gardens, and protect California’s natural resources through sustainable, climate-smart gardening.

Join our team of trained volunteers! As a UC Master Gardener, you'll receive expert training from University of California specialists and use that knowledge to help your community. Whether you enjoy teaching workshops, staffing our plant clinic, or working in demonstration gardens, there's a role for you.

Featured Programs 

Demonstration Garden at the NID Grounds 1036 W. Main Street, Grass Valley. Visit our demonstration garden to see the many different types of garden spaces we have. Our interpretive signage will help guide you through each garden space and our individual plant signs will provide you with all the necessary information to see if a plant will work in your home garden. Open daily. 

School Garden Education
