Certified California Naturalists and Climate Stewards that log 40 or more volunteer hours in a calendar year in our Volunteer Portal are eligible to receive the Annual Service Hour pin.
To be eligible for the Annual Service Hour pin, you must:

Please note: We cannot honor any retroactive Volunteer Portal hours. You are only eligible to add service hours from the date of your certification forward.
Replacement Pins
We are so sorry to hear that your pin went off on an adventure of its own. These pins symbolize our accomplishments through the courses and the service hours we log making California a better place.
Certificate Replacement:

2024 Service Hour Pin

The 2024 service hour pin was designed in-house by Karyn Utsumi, our CES based in Davis.
The 2024 service hour pin features a Desert Tortoise (Gopherus agassizii). This species is native to the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts and is official state reptile in California. Desert Tortoises spend most of their time in burrows and can reach 80 years old. Also featured is a Prickly Pear Cactus (genus Opuntia).
