The 4-H Cooking Academy Project is a cooking-based nutrition education program that teaches youth basic nutrition and cooking skills. The 4-H Cooking Academy aims to improve youth attitudes, knowledge and skills in food choices and preparation.
Through the California 4-H Shooting Sports Program, 4-H youth: Learn about the safe handling of firearms and archery equipment; Increase skills and knowledge; Develop self-confidence; Practice leadership as youth leaders.
The application process for the UC Master Gardeners of Merced County's 2026 Training Class will open in fall 2025. Any Merced County adult resident with an interest in horticulture (plants, lawns, trees, vegetables and more) and public service are encouraged to apply for the Master Gardener Program.
