Cooperative Extension San Joaquin County

Pomology, Walnuts and Olives

apple
Pomology is the  science of growing, storing, and processing fruit. In 2011 fruit and nut production made up 42% of the county's agricultural production.  This area is the largest component of San Joaquin County's agricultural commodities.  In 2011, walnuts ranked 3rd and cherries were ranked 6th in the "top 10" county commodities. To see the current and past Agricultural Reports for the county click here.

My research work also includes walnut and olive production.
