Who are UC Master Food Preservers?

Welcome to the UC Master Food Preserver community! The UC Master Food Preserver Program is a public service and outreach program of the University of California that shares research-based information on home food safety and preservation. Housed within UC Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program (UC SAREP) and the UC Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR), the program is delivered through UC Cooperative Extension county offices and a statewide online platform. The UC Master Food Preserver Program has a rich history, and for more than 40 years, trained UC Master Food Preserver volunteers have equipped Californians with the knowledge and skills to safely preserve food at home. Last year alone, more than 500 UC Master Food Preservers donated 31,447 volunteer hours.
