Junior Leadership Camp (JLC) is a leadership camp for 4-H members 11-13 years old and once you are 15 you can be a camp counselor. This was the first year I went there and it was really fun.

What is Junior Leadership Camp? Junior Leadership Camp (JLC) is a two day camp program (Friday evening to Sunday morning) run by counselors, San Diego County 15-19 year old senior 4-H members, and is open to all members ages 11-14 to participate.

Presentation Day is one of my favorite 4-H events.

Im 15 years old,and I absolutely love 4-H. In 4-H, I do many different projects such as archery, photography and community service. I also attend Southern Youth Summit and LA Countys 4-H summer camp. Regardless of what Im doing through 4-H, I always have fun. 4-H has taught me how to be a leader.

By ND, Age 13, from Olivenhain Valley 4-H I am from San Diego County 4-H. I started 4-H when I was 7 years old, and it has become the greatest decision I have made. This is my 8th year of being apart of this delightful youth program.

Art & Design Day allows 4-H members, ages 5-19, across San Diego County to show off their art and STEM projects. Fashion Revue is a part of Art & Design Day and members that participate have the ability to qualify and go on to state Fashion Revue in Davis, CA.

The San Diego County 4-H Program Board is made up of committee chairs from the various county events and advisory boards we have. This board of volunteers sets the yearly calendar of 4-H events in our county. And without you these events wouldn't be possible.

By TT Age 15 Ramona Stars I've been involved in the 4-H program for seven years. I love every minute of it. In these seven years, I have witnessed so many wonderful experiences. I would like to share with you my 2017-2018 year in 4-H.

This year we had a multicultural baking project and we learned about baked goods from all over the world. I loved it! We had a blast!! It was really fun to learn about different kinds of foods and a variety of cooking and baking techniques.
