Donations to Fresno Master Gardener program

There are two ways to donate funds to the Master Gardener Program in Fresno County.

One is through the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources Division (UC ANR) headquartered in Davis, California.  If your donation was sent there via a website access, your donations could be specified "Fresno County." The funds will be deposited in an account using fund accounting within the UC financial reporting system.  Then the local Fresno County MG Program Director has those funds available to use to support the MG program in Fresno, following policies and financial transaction practices as required within the UC system.

The second way is to donate directly to the local organization, a nonprofit 501c3 entity, which is maintained by volunteers here in Fresno County.  Send your donation to PO Box 4673, Fresno, 93744, and your check would have been made payable to the MGAFC.  (Master Gardener Association of Fresno County).  You also would have received an acknowledgement (personalized emailed letter) from our Treasurer, thanking you for the donation.  The MGAFC currently has no way for a person to donate on-line directly.

UC awards $15.5M in research grants to tackle big questions in health, AI, agriculture and climate justice

Awarded every two years through a highly competitive process, the Multicampus Research Program Initiative (MRPI) draws on the world-class resources and capabilities of UC’s $7 billion research enterprise, uniting teams of cross-disciplinary experts from at least three UC campuses to pursue ambitious questions with immediate applications.

“The MRPI program funds discoveries that are made possible only by the convergence of disciplines to improve the lives of Californians and draws world-class student, faculty and staff talent to our university and our state,” said UC Vice President of Research and Innovation Theresa Maldonado. “UC programs like this help keep California at the forefront of breakthrough research, technological innovation and equitable opportunities to thrive.”

12 amazing UC discoveries of 2024

In the past year, UC researchers have boldly peered into the depths of the universe and plumbed the mysteries of the human body, from cortex to colon. They tried to avoid insulting a 60,000-pound creature circling their boat. They even waded into fights between friends. Thankfully, they’ve all come back in one piece, and they’ve brought new ways of understanding ourselves, our planet and our place in the universe.
