Master Gardener Classes for Kids! Join us!!! 
 
Join Master Gardeners of Fresno County for a FREE and fun, hands-ogardening activity perfect for preschool and elementary-aged children! 
Each month, we explore exciting gardening topics through a short lesson, 
engaging books, and creative crafts.

There are no classes in Jan /Feb.
 Classes will resume in March. more info 

The Children’s Library Lessons are from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.

THE MAGIC OF SEEDS

 Join us as we explore the incredible importance of seeds and the vital role they play in our environment. We’ll enjoy a hands-on demonstration showcasing the amazing variety of seeds all around us and get creative by making a beautiful flower craft decorated with real seeds! Come ready to learn, create, and discover the magic hidden inside every tiny seed.

COLOR AND LIGHT IN THE GARDEN

 Join us as we explore the role of light and importance of color in our gardens. We’ll enjoy a fun hands-on demonstration showcasing how we mix colors and get creative by making a fun rainbow crown. Come ready to learn, create, and discover the magic of light and color in our gardens.

Free hands-on  gardening activity for preschool and Elementary  age children.

We will explore the fives sense in the garden through a short lesson, engaging books, and creative crafts.

Why teach youth to garden?

Planning a garden, planting the seeds and watching them grow give kids a sense of purpose and responsibility. ... Furthermore, studies show that when children have contact with soil during activities like digging and planting, they have improved moods, better learning experiences and decreased anxiety.

 

 

Garden of the Sun Children's Garden

Come visit the Children's garden at the Garden of the Sun and enjoy this garden designed for kids. There is even a scavenger hunt for kids. Garden of the Sun is located at 1750 N Winery Ave. Fresno and is open Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 9-11 am.
