Hundreds of stone fruit varieties are grown in the San Joaquin Valley of California and shipped to many locations around the world. This section provides a brief description of the main varieties grown in recent years. These data have been provided by CTFA, the marketing order responsible for supporting stone fruit research, marketing, inspections and data collection. CTFA was voted out by the stone fruit growers in early 2011, so data are only available through 2010.
