The Children’s Library Lessons are from 3:30 to 4:30 and are scheduled for:
March 5- Sunnyside Library
March 6- Woodward Park Library
March 18-Betty Rodriguez Library
 
 
Activities are once a month:
  • Sunnyside on the 1st Wednesday of the month
    5566 E Kings Canyon Rd, Fresno
  • Woodward Park Library on the 1st Thursday of the month
    944 E Perrin Ave, Fresno
  • Betty Rodriguez Library on the third Tuesday of the month

Why teach youth to garden?

Planning a garden, planting the seeds and watching them grow give kids a sense of purpose and responsibility. ... Furthermore, studies show that when children have contact with soil during activities like digging and planting, they have improved moods, better learning experiences and decreased anxiety.
