Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
As we navigate this time of change, we understand that you may have questions. This page is designed to provide clear answers and guidance about the UC Master Gardener Program’s rebrand. We’ll continue to update this webpage with new information and responses to commonly asked questions as they arise. Check back for the latest updates and resources.
- Q: When will county-specific logos be available for download?
A: At this time, we don’t have a timeline for county-specific logo versions. UC ANR is in the process of rolling out updated logos across more than 10 statewide programs, and creating individualized versions for every county would be a very large lift. That said, I’ve raised the importance of county identity in our conversations, and I know it matters locally. While county names won’t appear inside the new logos, you can highlight your county clearly in other places, such as website headers, social media bios, presentation titles, email signatures, and name badges. This approach ensures local visibility while keeping our statewide look consistent and unified. I’ll continue to share any updates if things change, but for now, the new statewide logo will be the version we’ll all use moving forward. - Q: One question that has come up a few times from the volunteers is what to do with logo wear? Do they need to discard their items? A: There is no requirement to discard existing apparel or personal items featuring the previous logo. We simply ask that any new orders moving forward use the refreshed logo artwork. Our goal is to see a full transition by year five, fun fact, Missy recently spotted a volunteer proudly wearing a program shirt from 1990! We’re being intentional about minimizing waste and honoring the time and resources our volunteers have invested. We won’t be policing apparel choices, and completely understand the sentimental connection many people have to older designs
