County 4-H Ambassador (formerly the All Star Ambassador) is the highest rank that a 4-H member can achieve at the county level. The County Ambassador award affords 4-H members the opportunity to further develop their leadership skills on a county-wide basis. It is a working honor.

Service Star Application 7-1-24 Overview The Service Star is an award given to a 4H member for planning and implementing an advanced leadership activity. The Service Star is separate from any star rank. Service Star is not a 4-H rank.

The California 4-H Youth Development Program has a long history of record-keeping as an activity by 4-H members. In early 4-H history, Record Books focused on project profit and loss and other activities in agricultural and home economics projects.

Officer Book Competition (due August 19, 2025) The 2024-2025 Officer books are due to the LA 4-H Office by 4pm on August 19, 2025 or to an Incentives & Recognition Committee Member by 9 pm on August 20, 2025. The book must be submitted with the appropriate forms, which can be downloaded below.
