November Gardening Tips

Prune and clean up for fire prevention. Oil and sharpen tools. Sand handles. Either varnish or spray paint handles to make them easy to find in the garden. Pull summer annuals and vegetables. Prune dead and broken branches on trees and shrubs. Rake and compost leaves and plant materials.

Residents of both Calaveras and Tuolumne counties are invited to join the next class of Master Gardeners. The University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) invites adults interested in helping others learn about gardening and landscaping to apply to train as a Master Gardener volunteer.
