Where Learning Blooms, Nature Thrives, Beauty Grows
Welcome to the webpage for our Pleasanton Educational Garden (PEG). We are excited to be embarking on our newest garden in partnership with the City of Pleasanton.
Our vision for this garden is to provide an inspirational, educational place for the community. A place where home gardeners, families, and community members come to learn about healthy, sustainable gardening through hands-on demonstrations, talks, classes, and workshops.
The garden is located at 550 Laguna Creek Lane, between I-680 and Valley Avenue, and next to the City of Pleasanton’s compost hub.

At PEG, Master Gardeners will demonstrate how to grow healthy fruits and vegetables in the most sustainable way. The design for the garden includes fruit trees and vegetables, alongside pollinator-friendly, drought-tolerant, and native plants. The garden will use the latest knowledge and technology to manage water, soil health, energy, and pesticide use.
We also plan to use this site for our annual plant sale, growing the vegetables, and offering them to the public.

We plan to:
- Conduct hands-on demonstrations, talks, and workshops for home gardeners, families, and future gardeners of all ages
- Engage our community in learning about sustainable gardening practices, like water conservation, composting, and pollinator gardens
- Build greenhouses, hoop houses and vegetable beds with food donated to address food insecurities in Alameda County
- Provide a fun learning experience for the entire family
- Propagate plants for our annual edible plant sale
