Associate Vice President for Business Operations

Tu Tran currently serves as the Associate Vice President – Business Operations for the Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources.  The AVP – BusOps represents ANR within the Office of the President in all matters concerning resource planning and administration, as well as serving as the division’s representative to university wide committees.  The AVP-BusOps provides leadership and advocacy for a unified resource management and administration functions for ANR.

Reporting to the Vice President, the AVP-BusOps oversees several key elements of the organizational structure of ANR division-wide, including resource planning and administration support of ANR’s programs. 

Areas of responsibilities include visionary resource planning and management; oversight of budget and finance, contracts and grants functions, and staff human resources functions provides administrative support for the six Statewide Programs which conduct programs throughout California.  The AVP-Business Operations is also the Associate Director, Agriculture Experiment Stations, Associate Director Cooperative Extension, and chairs the Administrative Review Council.
