Increasing preparedness to extreme weather and climate change is not just a topic of scientific interest – in California, it's a matter of survival. At HREC, a major goal of our research program is to produce the information needed to build climate-resilient communities and ecosystems, with a particular emphasis on fire dynamics and the impacts of wildfire.
